Steven E. Howell, Assumes Responsibilities of Chairman of the Board of Hometown Bancorp, Inc.

June 25, 2012, Walden, NY – The Board of Directors of Hometown Bancorp, Inc., its mutual holding company parent Hometown Bancorp, MHC and its wholly owned subsidiary Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley has elected Steven E. Howell as Chairman of the Board to each of their respective Board of Directors. Mr. Howell is a partner with Vanacore, DeBenedicutus, DiGovanni & Weddell, LLP, CPAs, Newburgh, NY.

Mr. Howell is a Certified Public Accountant, New York and New Jersey and a DABFA - Diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Accountants. He is a specialist in corporate accounting, offering expertise in the manufacturing niche, corporate tax planning, projection and budget implementation, succession planning, banking, and investment relationship building.

Steven Howell earned his BS in Business Administration from Pace University where he graduated magna cum laude.

Mr. Howell, who has been a director since 2008, assumes the responsibilities of Mr. Graham S. Jamison, as Chairman, who has served as a director of Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley since 1975 and as director and Chairman of Hometown Bancorp, MHC and Hometown Bancorp, Inc. since their formation.
